Palestinians and Israelis need your urgent help. It’s time for you to support a peaceful resolution to the Arab-Israeli conflict. A very reasonable Arab Peace Initiative is on the table. It calls for Israel to withdraw its forces from all the territories it has occupied since 1967, including Syria’s Golan Heights; to recognize “an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital” in the West Bank and Gaza Strip; and for a “just solution” for Palestinian refugees. In return every member of the Arab League has agreed to recognize the state of Israel, consider the Arab-Israeli conflict over, and establish “normal relations” with Israel. If American officials like you support this plan and call for peace talks, the conflict will end. Polls show that both Arabs and Israelis are ready. Resolving this conflict will be good for Americans, Israelis, Palestinians—and the entire world.
