The Activists’ Corner is a user-inspired section of the Washington Report Web site dedicated to the activities of Middle East activists. During the five years that the Washington Report has been on-line, we have received hundreds of suggestions for ways to improve communication among peace and justice advocates, activists, and others. This section is a first step.
We also hope this area will serve as a resource for journalists who would like to cover these events, in the Washington, DC metro area and
beyond. For the moment, the Activists’ Corner is a clean slate, waiting for your contributions. Some ideas that have been suggested are:
A calendar of upcoming Middle East-related events in the U.S. and Canada Moderated and unmoderated chat rooms An email list serve service to announce upcoming events, speakers, demonstrations, etc. Press release
postings where other Middle East-related organizations can publish copies of their most recent press release Activists bulletins announcing important, breaking news about the Middle East
Remember, the Activists’ Corner is your section of the Washington Report, and your ideas will help create it. Once we begin to receive your suggestions (preferably by email at the address below), we will update this page
and keep everyone posted.

New Sections Added |
Two new sections have been added to the Activists’ Corner: Contact Your Representative and Contact Your Senator. Both sections are links to Congressional web sites that provide
email and other contact information for U.S. Representatives and Senators, including an easy to use on-line form to send comments to your Representative. The Contact Your Representative site also features a way to
determine who your Representative is in the U.S. Congress by using your Zip code. So next time you want to make your voice heard to Washington’s decision makers, write a note to your members of Congress, and let them
know how you feel about U.S. policy in the Middle East!
