Journal of Palestine Studies
Palestinian negotiating problems are analyzed in the Journal
of Palestine Studies, Vol. XXII, No. 2, Winter 1993 (University
of California Press, 2120 Berkeley Way, Berkeley, CA 94720) by Jerome
M. Segal, president of the Jewish Peace Lobby and the author of
Creating the Palestinian State: A Strategy for Peace (Lawrence
Hill Books, 1989). "Strategic Choices Facing the Palestinians
in the Negotiations" presents the author's suggestions to the
Palestinian negotiating team and offers dramatic alternatives, suggesting
that if an agreement cannot be reached on a traditional framework,
the whole timetable should be sped up for some transition to final
status negotiations.
